Skullpop by Sküt is an ongoing collection, exhibition, and experiment featuring skulls iterated through a pop art lens. Originally original designer and Co-Founder of Grindr, Sküt (Scott Lewallen) creates an homage to his brand identity and logo creation for Grindr in a series of artistic expressions.

“I approach fine art and my creative process by solving problems, in the same way I tackle startup ventures. I have a vision in my head and figure out the best way to express it, via digital presentation, physical objects, or a combination of both. I’m a designer at heart. Most of my professional life has been a junction of graphic and user experience design. In making fine art I purposefully use my skillset from the tech world.

Skullpop is an exercise of branding and iteration. I wanted to present this cute little skull I designed through a variety of different mediums like color, texture, dimension, and light. The skull design is a thoughtful nod to my legacy of designing Grindr and celebrating cultural icons that impacted my life journey through a pop art lens. I hope you find some joy and curiosity in this menagerie of skulls." – Sküt
